Meike Wiest

Meike is NC Triangle Area President at LifeLinks.  Prior to joining LifeLinks in 2012, she worked for more than six years as a Targeted Case Manager in Wake County, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Meike moved to the Triangle area from Hamburg, Germany, in 2006, where she worked in geriatric care for eight years.

Born and raised in Germany, Meike first visited Raleigh as a high school exchange student, when she met the man who would later become her husband.  After completing her advanced degree, Meike moved to the U.S. in 2005. She and her husband have one daughter and one very spoiled dog. Her family enjoys playing Ping-Pong together, volunteering at the local food bank and the Miracle League, and making frequent trips to Germany to visit family and friends. In her free time, Meike enjoys reading, photography, playing volleyball and staying active outside.
