Laurie Ray

Laurie is an advanced aging care specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of social work.  She joined LifeLinks in 2017, bringing 13 years of compassionate care management experience.  Laurie’s background includes extensive work in hospice care, where she provided end of life support to patients of all ages. In 2004, Laurie established and was Executive Director of COPE Eldercare, the area’s only nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity providing geriatric care management services regardless of a person’s ability to pay. Laurie was honored and recognized as one of the top 10 “Dedicated and Deserving Social Workers” in Social Work magazine in 2013.

Married for 30 years, Laurie has two dogs and enjoys spending time at her cabin in the North Carolina mountains. She is passionate about pet therapy, both teaching and volunteering; and also loves to write, hike, walk her dogs and spend time with family.
