Jo Singer

Jo is a licensed physical therapist with more than 40 years of experience and a focus on the geriatric population. Most recently, her practice has been in home health physical therapy, where she performed patient balance and home safety assessments in addition to rehabilitation.

Much of Jo’s work has been in patient education, as director of an acute care hospital rehabilitation department, a clinical supervisor of P.T. students, and facility care manager for adult day care and nursing home facilities. On staff at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, she pioneered rehabilitation protocols for Parkinson’s patients following the development of L-Dopa therapy and assisted in the development of post-stroke protocols.

Jo is married with two children, and she volunteers at church and with the League of Women Voters. Her hobbies include reading, going to the beach, and singing in the choir.
